Campaign Updates

THANK YOU

Words can’t express the appreciation and humbleness that comes with this victory. Every week of the campaign was filled with new relationships, laughs, stress, strengthening relationships, learning, encouragement, prayer, and most importantly pushing toward the finish line. With the help of countless friends and new friends that came along the way, we accomplished the mission of FINISH STRONG.

To all donors, supporters, and volunteers: THANK YOU, We couldn’t do this without you! Each week we had volunteers show up and ready to work. This was a TEAM EFFORT and nothing is accomplished with one person. I know I have the best group of volunteers who genuinely care about their community and are willing to put in the work. We celebrate TOGETHER and prepare to move forward. To all associations and leaders in our community that endorsed the campaign, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TRUST.

I would like to thank my husband for facilitating all the many activities our children participate in and filling in when I wasn’t able to be at home. It takes an army to raise a family and we have a big family, so his support is vital, THANK YOU GENE! To my children and family, thank you for your support, prayers, and encouragement.
It would be very difficult to name everyone that helped the campaign but I would like to recognize my campaign manager, Kate McDonald. Every day she sacrificed her time and energy to help wherever needed. She was always encouraging and provided solutions to any task at hand.

My campaign treasurer, Barbara Whitley Shaffer stepped right in and kept our records straight and reports on time. She brought me into her fold and made me feel like family. I attended countless events with her and even a beauty pageant judge (twice). Thank you for keeping us straight and most importantly being my friend.

Finally, the best for last, Judge Edna Staudt, has served as our Justice of the Peace for 28 years. She is known for firmly applying the law with fairness, upholding justice and public safety while demonstrating compassion for those in traumatic circumstances. The mentor and Teen Court programs established by Judge Staudt provided innovative ways to help troubled youth learn from their difficult situations. I know that I have big shoes to fill and hope to be a trailblazer as you have set the example. Thank you for your service to our community and for letting your light shine!

Thank you to all the Precinct 2 voters that came out in a record number to cast your vote!! You took time out of your day and understood the importance of your vote. The campaign always stressed the importance of voting and how your vote matters. I look forward to serving Precinct 2 of Williamson County with Respect, Compassion, and Concern for ALL people in our community.
